The world is in the middle of a technology and information golden age. Since there are so many gadgets being released every year though, a lot of people wonder what electronics are worth purchasing and investing in. Although these seem basic, the digital camera, LED LCD televisions, and smartphones are a few electronic must buys.

1. The Smartphone

Smartphones are rapidly establishing themselves as an everyday, personal necessity. In an age when people need quick access to information and continual access to long distance communication, smartphones are a must have. Specific functions, Internet connectivity, and phone plans differ depending on the company. However, all smartphones have the same basic features: a phone, email, computer functions, and the ability to download applications. Also, smartphone plans can be upgraded when new editions are released.

2. The Digital Camera

Whether you decide to invest in a professional camera or buy a simple, cheap digital camera, these gadgets have amazing storage space and features that outshine any regular Polaroid or flash camera. Digital cameras can take thousands of pictures, allow users to delete and edit photos, and can be uploaded onto the Internet. Nowadays, it is also easy to find cheap digital cameras on the Internet or your local electronics store.

3. The LED LCD TV

LCD televisions that use LEDs to display images have a huge advantage over plain LCD or plasma screens. They use less power and have better image resolution, especially when it comes to black and deeply saturated coloured images. Also, in recent years, companies have begun to release these televisions in all different sizes. While they are a bit pricey, the LED LCD TV is absolutely a worthwhile investment, especially if you’re a film and TV buff!

Technology is continually changing and improving, so it can be difficult to decide which electronic gadgets are worth spending money on and which are not. Digital cameras, LCD LED televisions and smartphones all come with features and provide services for busy people who love their technology.
